Our 20-Year Impact Film: ‘Kindness’

We are absolutely delighted to share our 20-year impact film, ‘Kindness’, with you. ‘Kindness’ is a documentary short film that explores the profound impact of Pebbles Project. Through interviews with beneficiaries and the Founder & CEO of Pebbles Project, viewers witness stories of how a single act of kindness creates a ripple effect of positivity, proving that one person, one dream, and one heartfelt gesture can change countless lives forever…

‘Kindness’ was proudly sponsored by our longstanding supporter, Hillebrand GORI, a company of DHL, without whom this film would not have been possible.

‘Kindness’ has received the following accolades:

  • Winner of The Bicester Collection International Impact Award at the 2025 Smiley Charity Film Awards in London, regarded as the Oscars of charity film awards and the largest cause-based film campaign in the world. Pebbles Project is honoured to be the first South African organisation to receive this prestigious award.
  • Selected as one of only 25 films to be showcased at the 2025 Films That Inspire festival in Melbourne, Australia.
  • Nominated as a finalist at the prestigious 2024 Big SYN International Film Festival in London, where ‘Kindness’ received a Special Mention from the jury.
  • Winner of the Best Documentary Award at the 2024 Kleinkaap Short Film Festival (KSFF) in Pretoria, South Africa.

We hope that ‘Kindness’ will raise awareness of Pebbles Project on a global scale and ultimately inspire and instil hope in audiences across the world.
